Question: What colors of 15 ohm
Answer: Type value 15 in field "RESULT", select range "Ohm" in drop-down menu. The bands on the resistor image will be painted in matching colors.
Question: Thanks, but I'm interested in the color code resistor 15 ohm 1% rather than 5%
Answer: Well then, just add more and the tolerance!
Which is resistance value corresponds to the bands with colors Brown-Green-Black-Brown-Brown?
Answer: Specify the number of color bands and select a color for each of them. Result will be displayed in "RESULT" field. If the color code consists of 5 or 6 bands, check whether reading the color code in the opposite direction - click button "Reverse"! So, in your case may be the resistance value as 1.5kOhm ±1% and 11Mohm ±1%. Rather, it is 1.5k ±1%, but better check by a multimeter.
Reading color code in the opposite direction:
I need 5k resistor. It is the standard value? If not, what the nearest standard value?
Answer: Type value in "Result" field of resistor color code calculator, select range "kOhm". In your case (5kOhm), you will see the message "Oops! It is not standard EIA value: 500! (See table on the right)"? This means that the industry does not produce a constant resistors with this value.
In table of resistors standard values the nearest value have gray background color. Click on value, which best suits for you...
...and the calculator will calculate the appropriate resistor color code.
